全世界的 iPhone 在 12/2 那一天，大量用戶都出現了 App 閃退、黑屏導致手機無法使用等狀況，蘋果也很迅速的在當天釋出 iOS 11.2 的更新，除了部分新功能以外，也一併修復了 iOS 11.1.2 的重大 bug。但卻有部分用戶在升級 iOS 11.2 之後，出現了 Face ID 失效的問題，在蘋果仁社團中也有網友回報了這個狀況。
外媒也陸續跟進了這個報導，幸好當 iPhone X 出現「無法使用 Face ID」的訊息之後，只要將 iPhone X 重新開機，狀況就會改善；重新開機的方式為按住右側按鈕與任一音量鍵不放，就會出現滑動關機的選項。重新開機後，Face ID 應該就可以使用了。
